Arralla's application to join The Sixty Thieves Guild.

Posted: Mar 2 2008, 03:39 PM

A small horde orphan girl runs to watch Doc and pull softly his pants:
- Excuse me sir - She has a big box with an stamp on her hands -, some lady gave me this packet for you. She gave me a few coints - the little girl smiles -. She said she could not wait, she had something to finish, she said.

((IF DOC DOESNT PICK UP THE PACKET: You can stop reading.))
((IF DOC PICKS UP THE PACKET:))
Doc opens the packet (perfectly wrapped). Inside there is a funny looking mechanical device. There is also a letter. It sais: "Please, press play once inside a dark room. The arrow must point at a white wall. Greetings, Arralla."

((IF DOC THROW AWAY THE STUPID DEVICE AND THE LETTER: You can stop reading.))
((IF DOC GOES TO A DARK ROOM AND PRESS PLAY, WITH THE ARROW FACING A WHITE WALL:))
Suddlenly some light comes from the device, and the image of a female tauren appears on the wall. Sound starts coming out of it too:

Arralla looks at the camera. "Now?... What?... Can I start talking now?... oh! Is it recording already?! Ah! eh.... Hi! eh... Hi there, yeah... hmmm So... ehmmm *looks at the camera man* Could we start again? ... No?... Oh, ok, then... *looks at the camera* Yeah...ehm... My name is Arralla, I'm a Tauren... Oh, yeah, right, you can see that already, hehe... ehmm... I'm a Druid, yeah, that's right, I'm a Druid, like my mother was... or is... ehm... well, I don't know anymore... She died... Yeah, yeah, she resurrected, of course, but I think she lost her way back here, because I'm still waiting for her... Well, I was waiting, then I started to look for her because it was dinner time and I was hungry... Then I found something to do, and I had to finish it... Yeah.... I had to... Mum says not to leave anything unfinished... Mum says Spirits don't like unfinished things... I was there and I found something to finish, so I went... *looks at the cameraman* Yeah, yeah, sorry, straight to the point, straight to the point. *looks at the camera* Yeah, ok, ehmm... So, were was I?... Yeah, Druid, that's what I am... and Leatherworker too, yeah... I like the smell of leather, my home tent smelled like that... leather... Mother says Father made it, but I don't really know, never met Father, he went to fight the allies, Mother said he said, but he never came back. I think it's because of the food... Yeah, the food... Mother tries hard, but the food always burns, you know? and nobody likes burned food... Well, I do, I guess I do... But Father did not like it... Yeah, that was the problem, i think... *looks at the camera man* Oh yeah, yeah, sorry sorry, the point...*looks at the camera* Were was I?... Hm... food... no... leather, yeah, that's right... So... Yeah, I skin animals too... I would skin allies if I could, but Mother said it was not a good idea, Mother says they stink, and I don't like smelly things, I have a sensitive nose, you know? Mother says that Spirits gave me that gift, but I don't think is a gift... There is too many people who does not know how to use water, if you know what I mean... And that is not right, Spirits say water is a Mother Earth gift we must use... Yeah, Spirits talk a lot about gifts... *looks at the cameraman*... Yeah, sorry, I did it again, sorry sorry... *looks at the camera*... Ehmm.... Spirits... yeah, that is what I wanted to say... They told me I should find my path, sure they did, the stones talked, I should find my path... That's why I'm here, yeah, that's right, I'm here because I need to find my path... I tried to find it, I promise I did, I still do. I'm trying hard, It is not an easy thing, you know? It is not easy when you are a bit slow, if you know what I mean, Mother says I am, Spirits didn't tell me that, Mother did, but I do know how to work hard, I always get my job done, sure I do, that's why I asked the trees, I asked the stones, I asked everywhere, but I think I got lost, just like Mother did, well, she still does, because she never came back... Well, maybe she did, but I was not there anymore, I had things to do, and so I do now... Yeah, I've got tons of things to finish, I found one once, but then I found more, and now I must finish it all, Spirits like that, yes they do. Maybe they will show me my path then. Yeah, I things that's how it will be, that is what I should do... I just have to finish what must be done... Oh, yeah, that's it! Oh, Great Sun, that is, that is! Thank you very much, it was very helpful, it sure was!... Now I must go, my path is waiting for me, Spirits told me so... Thank you, thank you very much! Now I go... May the Spirits protect you all! Now I must go... Bye-bye!...". Arralla walks away, you can hear she is still talking to herself...

Character Name: Arralla
Character Race: Tauren
Character Class: Druid (Feral at the moment)
Character Professions: Skinner, Leatherworker
Character Description: Arralla is a big female druid Tauren born (like any other tauren) somewhere in Mulgore. One day her mum went to pick up some wood to start cooking breakfast, but she didn't return. At dinner, Arralla decided to go and look for her herself. On her way someone ask her for some help. Arralla has a big heart, so she just went to help him making no questions. After that, she found someone else to help, and then some other person... Some people says she is a bit slow, some others that she just got too many Spirits talking to her at the same time... The thing is that she takes her time to get done with her goals, but she always does. So far, the only goal she didn't reach yet is finding mum. She is loyal to her people, whoever they are. She gives her life for whoever needs it (Sun bless the Spirit Healer). And patience is her gift, so that is what she expects from anyone else: patience. Sometimes can be seen talking to herself (some people says she is actually talking to the Spirits), and sometimes gets hard to understand what she says (maybe the speech inside her brain goes faster than her mouth, or is just too slow... or perhaps the Spirits interrupt her so she can't finish a proper sentence...). Arralla thinks there is no bad (but the Allience, because the Spirits told her so) and no good (unless the Spirits say so). At the moment, she just wants to find her destiny, her path (and her mother).
Character Level: 40 at the moment.

((All this Info was copyed from Arralla's blog ))

Why does she want to join the Sixty?

Arralla was taking a break one day, enjoying the blessing Sun, thinking if she should ask the stones about taking the right or the left road. Suddenly she felt something, like someone pulling her bags. When she looked back, her stones bag was gone. Nobody was around. "Damn ally rogues" she thought. There was 60 stones inside, 60 stones that the Spirits told her to pick up since she let home that evening... "What do I do now?". She decided to continue waiting there. At night the Spirits are more talkative, maybe they could give her some idea. A few minuts later, Urraca, one good undead friend, happened to come that way. When she was looking at her coming over her skinny (skinny?) horse, she thought "She is nice, I think too much time with her demons, that's all. But even with her bad temper, she has a good heart... Wait a minut, she has none.... Oh well, I know what I mean, right? Yeah, sure I do...". Urraca told Arralla a few stories. She had a lot to complain about, as usual. She was talking about these "foul pesky allies" who were attacking some new recruits of the horde. She went to help them. Killing allies is always a pleasure. But some other guys were already there. "Foul blood elves from Sixty Thieves Order got there before me, fast and swift they dealt their justice upon the allies". Arralla thought she liked them somehow, and she smiled. Suddenly two words appeared right in front of her eyes: Sixty Thieves. That had to be a signal. Spirits were talking. She just got robbed, her sixty stones were stolen right now. Was that the sign? Sure it was, she thought. Suddenly she picked all her bags up and she faced the closer town: She had to join them. That it was the Spirits were trying to tell her. Sure it was!

((Basically, I'm interested in joinning an RPing guild, and happened that this friend of mine talked to me about this guild and gave me the forum link. I went throw a few post and I found it reeeeeeeeally interesting, and I thought, what the hell, let's try! )).

What can she do?

Besides her main skills as a Feral Druid, Leatherworker and Skinner, Arralla is always ready to fight for friends. She is patience, helpful, and allways wills to learn a bit more.

((Of course when a druid is needed, there i go, as long as RL allows me so. Tanking or healing (as good as i can as feral), anything is ok with me. My leatherwork is for free for friends, of course. I like questing, dungeons, and I just found out that PvP is quite fun (never bothered before untill a few days ago, to be honest). ))

What would her nickname be?

"... ehm... Is Arra ok?... Yeah, sure it is."

What's her background like?

Well, Mulgore... A leather tent... Mother is gone... We already know the story by now.

Any specialities she has?

"Hmm... Talking with the Spirits?..."

(( I do love RPing, but English is not my mother language, what makes it a bit difficult sometimes. That's why poor Arralla looks a bit slow ^^ )).

Any question: shuguang.rpg (at) gmail (dot) com

Ps- biggrin.gif This was fun!!

Hi, this letter is specially for Rat and Tryssi.
My friends, everything can be done with patience... And leatherworking teaches you that you can make the most unexpected things out of the most unexpected items...
I send a mail to my friend (the cameraman who wants to stay anonymous, "I'm still finishing this project, I don't want annoying ignorants around disturbing my work", he said... Yeah, he seems a bit rude sometimes, he is an old man, sure he is... Time turns your temper I guess... He was kind once, well, he still is kind to me. "Silly big cowhead" he calls me, but I know he does it because he likes me, he always call people by their names, but not me, no, no, never, and Spirits say that is a good thing... Oh, wait, the camera device, sorry..).
That is what my friend wrote me back:
"Dear Silly Big Cowhead, I stopped my time of working just to answer your silly request. I have not much time, so I hope whatever your messy brain is up to, worth the time I am wasting here. I must tell you that my invention is not totally finished, as you could noticed, and it takes a good bunch of different items to build this device, so I will just tell you what the main items are:
Gammerita Turtle Camera is the main item needed. Remember I asked you to steal the Robotron Control Unit for me? Well, now you know why. I added some spells on it, of course, such as First Person Camera Spell and Slow Spell. When you activate the Robotron what has been reduced to fit inside the Gammerita Turtle Camera, it cast the spells, so the target slows down, and it can take as many shots as possible. Of course some mana potions are needed, so the silly little thing does not stop. So far I did not find who to make it pause, so silly big cowheads don't waste the mana and the spells with messy speeches... And to be able to watch what Robotron had recorded, you just have to activate Pathaleon's Projector. The sound is reproduced by Robotron itself, and that's the point were I am working right now. So I better stop writing stupid mails, and go back to my work. Remember, do never talk about me, you know how much I hate this creatures out there... I am still wondering why I talk to you... Anyway, work is waiting... You better take a good care of yourself... I might need you to steal a few more stuffs from those disgusting gnomes...".

Well, I hope you, my friends, understand these words.... I might have to read it again, but I think I can understand how this crazy machine works. I could ask for more details too, but I don't think my old good friend will say any other word about this subject... But the Spirits told me that if you really want something, you just have to insist, and I know how to insist, I have the time needed for that, sure I do...

And like my tauren fellows always say: May the Sun shine upon you all!

Hi my friends!
I want to thank you all for your invitation, specially Dusty who interviewed me last night. That was an interesting conversation, sure it was, for me it was... Pity I had no my good Stones with me... I guess I miss them... Sadly I could not find a replacement anymore... But I did find something, sure I did! Nice tasty weed... I think that will work from now on, sure it will. Spirits have talked to me on my dreams. I asked them about my skills as a thief. Dusty did, he did not sound very convinced, of course he did not, I also was not very convinced, neither the Spirits they said. They have talked to me "You, silly Arralla, you do not know your skills yet, how can that be possible - they said-. We have taught you many things... many things...", and I saw things, you know? I saw things that happened. I saw that day I had to do something for that poor old woman. She asked me to help her. "Those Big Orcs keep tons of that shinning gold in metal boxes - she said -. My Tauren friend, would you take some for me?". I made no questions. Orcs have lot of gold, I thought, so they will not notice if we take some, I guess... And then I went there. I stopped right at their door and wait. Nobody cares about a silly looking big tauren who talks with Stones, I guess. They did not ask why I was there. I just sited there. They looked at me at the beginning, but nobody asked. After two days nobody looked at me anymore. They did not noticed I was still there. And they left. "You might not look too smart, my dear daughter - Mother used to say - but you do know how to look out". And that is what I did. I looked out for any detail. The door was not difficult to open. There was some noise. Nobody else seemed to hear. But I did, sure I did. I asked the Spirits and they told me to look at the hinges. "These Orc should expend some of their gold" I thought. Then I just pulled out the hinges. The door was open for me. I thanked the Spirits and I went in. I saw that big box. You could even smell the gold inside. "Why to take just a bit - I thought - when you can take all? ... They will make more soon, sure they will...". The box was heavy, of course it was, but I did not have to hurry. Nobody cares about a silly big tauren who talks to stones walking around carrying a big box...
And then they saw me more things... I saw that day. It was an interesting day, sure it was. There was this troll friend. He gave me some taste weed to smoke. He said he knew someone who had all, but he did not know where. "I will ask the Spirits" I said. And I did, of course I did. But this time they were to busy to help me. So I asked my good priest friend. She is a smart troll. She said she would help me. "We will meet him, you will talk to him, and he will answer your questions". That sounded right to me, so that is what I did. I went to meet this short Orc. I could recognize the smell of the weed he was smoking. People who smokes good weed have no bad temper. I just sited down besides him and waited for my troll friend to do her job. "I will cast mind control on you, I will talk for you, so you don't have to worry". She said that people trust my silly looking face. She says there is no bad in my eyes. Sure there is no bad. I do not know what good or bad is, so you will find none inside my eyes. Mother used to say they were like the dark deep see, where you never know what is going to happen. So I just waited there besides him. Then I felt like talking. That was not me, I thought. My words were clear, my speech was direct, and my questions smart. "She is doing a great job" I thought. And this orc talked to me. We talked about weed. We did not talk about the Spirits this time. And I told him about big fields full of green shinning grass, field that never existed. And then he talked about big fields full of green shinning weed, but these fields were real. When the last smoke melt away with the fresh wind, he left with a farewell. I was still there when my troll friend came. She told me she was sorry. " I was casting when these damn nelf rogue appeared from nowhere - and I thought I do hate nelf rogues -. He stopped my casting and I had to kill him, but it was not easy - she continued -. I hoped everything went right with you here ". Took me a while to understand her words. Then I saw it: Those words were my words, from my own mouth. Then the Spirits laughed at me, or maybe with me... "You are a great actress, silly Arralla".
That is what the Spirits saw me tonight. And then I woke up thinking about the meaning of all this. "Stupid Cowhead - I told myself -, it was so obvious how could you not see it: you can make a good spy! Sure you do! And thieves need spies, don't they?... sure they do....

Arralla clean the blood out of her old knife "That's it for today, that was the last skin I need to complete my new cloak". The Sun left its guardian post long time ago, and it was starting to hide behind some hills around the dry Badlands. It was getting cold. "Just in time" she thought. Keeping the skin inside her bag, turned herself into a Leopard and faced her way to the closer Inn. "For all the Spirits, I am hungry, sure I am...". After greeting the Innkeeper who greeted back with words she could not really understand, she bought some spices to the trader, interrupting him from his daily accounting. Then she sat besides the small fire and browsed for some fish inside her bags. Only one small fish came out of it. "I guess I will have to go fishing in the morning, yeah I will". The Spirits started to talk inside her head, like they used to do when everything around is quiet. That's why Arralla loves huntting. The Spirits don't interrupt you when you are taking care of some business. That night they seemed to be in a good mood. They were just singing some prays. Arralla smiled and joinned the song. The Innkeeper gave her a no very friendly look, and she understood that was not a moment for singing. The Inn was a small place, not many guards, and allies were seen around quite often, so the silence was their best way to try not to get unwanted visits. She pricked the fish on a stick and put it over the fire. There was something annoying her in the left side. She touched there with the other hand, and she could see some blood was coming out of some wound. Leaving the fish still closed to the fire, took some bandage and covered the wound. That was just another day....

WoW: Arrasha

This is the profile I wrote for my first guild in WoW:
***
Character Name: Arrasha
Character Race: Troll
Character Class: Priest
Character Professions: Herbelist, Alchemist.
Character Description: Arrasha was born one day, like 15 years ago (why she is always 15 years old, year after year, nobody knows) falling down from a tree (how did she appeared up in that tree, nobody knows). Her first words were: "ouch, damnit, that hurts!". From that moment on, she decided to be a priest (what connection does it have, nobody knows) and fight against the so called Alliance (why does she hate them, nobody knows... oh... wait! yeah, everybody knows why!).
She is... a Troll.... ; kind of pinky skin, with big feet (... a troll...), and long pink (or violet, nobody really knows...) hair, brown eyes and short tusk (... only 15 years old, you know? They will grow up!).

***

I play in "Defias Brotherhood" server, a pvprpg realm.
About the level... should be around 40, but I dont really remember, to be honest. I played quite a few other chars in other servers, some are around lvl 10.

What's pvprpg?
PvP means player versus player. It's when you have the chance to kill another character that is not an NPC (not player character = "computer controlled" character).
In WoW is based in the 2 different sides of the story: the Alliance and the Horde (I was on the Horde side). So the pvp is basically that you can kill the players that you find around from the other side of the story (and be killed, of course).
My first char was on the Alliance side, but after a while i couldnt stand so many kids trying to be Legolas, and I started this char on the other side. But that didn't mean that I was gonna get away from those kids (and when I say "kid" I'm talking more about an actitud than an age); lame people is everywhere. Besides the Allies keeped attacking low level villages to get their "honor" (???) up... and some of them just to be annoying...
The game is quite exciting because of the pvp part (I dont understand people who chose a non-pvp realm, the fun is gone then!), becuase, honestly, the quests and missions become a bit monotone and boring after a while.
Rpg means role play game. Suppously you go around interacting with the rest of the players as your char, and not as another player (of course, some people doesnt get that, and when you team up, they inmediatly ask you "how old are you? where are you from? are you male or female?...", what makes me wonder why they dont just go to a flirting chat...).
This part is really fun, becuase you have to make your story out, and try to act loyal to what you thought your char would be if it was real. Trolls have that Hamaican touch, so it was really fun.

What don't I like about WoW? Beside the monotone quests, and the endless time you take to level up (and then be able to actually do something!), there is not much I can complain about.

What do I like about WoW? Besides what I just said about the pvprpg, the great graphics, and the totally playfull map (without having to wait for the download of the next area), there is tons of details that makes this game really good: the possibility of learning professions, the way you can make bussines with the actionners, the multiple possibilities of armors you can get, the way you have to think propperly about how you chose the skills you train... Somehow all this things make your character kind of unique.

Why did I stop playing WoW? Because of Blizzard, the company who doesnt care about the costumer, because they already have so many... In short, the problem started with one of the last patches before the Burning Crusade came out. My game was a present, and I didnt get the cds, but only the serial number of the account (It was not a second hand account, but the person who gave me the game just never bothered to send me the packet after he gave me the serial number, we didnt think I was gonna need it), so I had to download the american version of the game, and change some files to play in the european realms. So far so good. But the patches that Blizzard realeaze are not the same for both versions, so my game totally screwed up. I could see in the forums that I was actually not the only one. Blizzard ignored our petitions. Finally the problem was fixed by some other player who was nice enough to share the files that fixed it. That was the last time I logged into WoW: Why should I pay monthly for a service that you dont get? I mean, GW, for example, doesnt ask for monthly fees and the costumer service works anytime you need it anyway, and the servers are always up.

Am I gonna continue playing WoW?... After all... yes, Im afraid so. It's a very enjoyable game, that's the truth. It doesn't force you to use much brains (to be honest), as EVE does, for example, so it's quite relaxing to play. When? I'm not sure. No long ago, one of my MMORPGs partners told me he was thinking about testing that game out. I might join him then.
