GW: Shu Guang

Character Name: Shu Guang
Profession: Monk
Type of Character: PvE
Level: 20
Campaign: Prophecies

"Shu Guang doesnt know who the parents are. As far as she can remember about her life, she lived her whole childhood in that small monastery. Maybe the parents didnt have money to feed her, maybe they wanted a better life for her, maybe they just didnt want her... She will never know, but now at days, that's the last thing to be worry about. It's war time and she knows she has something to do. The monks showed her how to heal and how to fight, that's more than what anybody needs to know to survive during this ugly age".

Why do I play GW? Just because I think that is the greatest fantasy mmorpg game that I could find so far. Of course, there is a lot of things that I would change, but since GW2 is coming soon, I'm gonna wait to have a look at it, because as far as I heard, some of that things have changed there.

What do I like about GW?
  • The storyline: It's not only about leveling up, but finding out the end of the story.
  • The management of the skills. Because allows you only to have 8 at a time, that make it more fair during PvP and more interesting, since you have to find out your own builds (set of skills that work together the best way as possible).
  • The different possibilities you got: missions, challenges, quests, different dangeons, different PvP areas...
  • The posibility of playing alone, without having to interact with another players (some days you just dont feel like playing with other people, and the henchmen are not too talkative...).
  • The Heros, NPCs that you can control as your own character.
  • No monthly fees.
  • Good maintenance of the servers.
  • ...
What don't I like about GW?
  • The limitation about where to move in the map.
  • No jumping, no swimming...
  • No PvP anywhere you want.
  • No chance to choose "Good" or "Bad" side of the story.
  • Limited repertory of armors.
  • No actioneer or another way of sell&buy besides the spamming on the trade chat (that most of the people doesnt do, but spamming the general chat).
  • ...
